The JK United Safety Program has four pillars that work together to minimize risk and maxim ize the safety of our personnel and our customers' freight:
Rewards and Recognition
- Roadside inspection bonus program for violation-free perfomance
- Point-based driver safety scorecard to track and reward safe driving
Continuing Education
- Monthly assigned courses via web-based training system
- Ad-hoc safety visits and seminars to address specific topics and issues
Passive Safety
- Maximum Speed Monitored on all trucks
- Full compliance with E-Log mandate to increase visibility of HOS issthes and violations
- Collision mitigation system with active breaking
Corrective Action
- Progressive counseling process including retraining and perform ance improvement plans, up to separation
- Monthly coaching and counseling in response to driver safety scorecard perfum vehicle inspection reports, and other issues
